So I did a couple posts recently on how Kayahan was a very pretty young adult and how he used those looks in his very first infiltration assignment. I have previously established that paski don’t have a sex trade because of their reproduction process. Chat with Han has hammered out what they have in place of a sex trade.

Raatasira have a trade very similar to Japan’s geisha, where a specially-trained individual provides social and psychological intimacies while not being part of the paying customer’s group. Being part of a group can be very stressful, especially if an individual has differing opinions from the rest of the group. Visiting a dusa (“companion”) can be a good way to have a non-judgmental ear just listen to your woes, or just hang out with. Han called them “groupmate hookers”, which, while crude, is accurate. XD

Dusa are highly trained and can be quite expensive. But it can be a maker of prestige to be able to afford one. They come in both male and female flavors, and are trained to interact with members of every class of society, though often only those with a good amount of money can afford them.

Pilasira have their own version of companions. Gergei are the male children of defeated enemies, brainwashed and raised to be the very loyal “groupmate hookers” of the victorious Pilasira warlords. They are extremely submissive, and have been trained to make their group leader (read: master) happy no matter the cost to themselves. In Ye Olden (pre-spaceflight) Dayes, a warlord’s prestige could be measured by how many gergei she had in her household.

The female children of defeated enemies, gyergei, are similarly brainwashed, but are raised to be the warlord’s personal guard. It is extremely demoralizing to go and pay tribute to the local warlord and have your own daughters staring back at you without so much as a flicker of recognition.

Both gergei and gyergei are outlawed under Commune law. That doesn’t mean they don’t show up in the seedy underworld, though.

A few decades ago, some Pilasira warlord and her group were kidnapping children and teens, raising them to be gergei, and selling them at a premium price on the black market. The Military/Police wasn’t having any luck tracking them down, so the Protection Force took over the operation. They chose a very pretty 18-year-old assassin named Cuneyt Kayahan, suikascti to go and get himself kidnapped so he could take down the leaders.

Kayahan spent a year prepping for this infiltration so he could come out of the gergei training still useful enough to carry out his mission. He then spent two years posing as a gergei, working himself into the warlord’s favorite circle, and arranging so that various members of the warlord’s group met their untimely deaths. After he killed the warlord, the Protection Force shipped the gergei to Duniyaa so they could receive psychological counseling and be reunited with their families. Kayahan needed his own time to recover before resuming his duties as an assassin, this time with considerably more prestige.
