I-Dale-Arrival

Your character has arrived on the island! It's full of pirates and some of them know where the arrival 'hotspots' are... you may be looted.

The sun was hot on Dale's face, but the rest of him was cold. Eventually he registered the sound of... water? Yes. Most of him was resting in water, which lapped gently on his chest and around his ears.

He should probably open his eyes. That was a good idea. It took a gargantuan effort, but eventually he managed to open them, then ended up slitting them against the sun. Something stood over him, and even when the blurriness resolved his brain couldn't quite make sense of it. A... man? With... were those... cat ears? Dog ears? And... the lower half of him was all wrong. Dale must have hit his head pretty badly.

The odd man's face was screwed up in a frown. "Hey man, you okay?"

"Pardon me," said Dale, "but could you tell me where I am? And how I ended up here? And would you mind directing me to the nearest medical facility? I may be concussed. Also, your legs appear to belong to a horse."

... That's what he meant to say, anyway. What came out sounded more like, "Hnnnrrngg?"

The horse-man sighed. "You must be a new guy."

And Dale arrives in Heth! Now I can get his and Kayahan's story underway. Excite!

Fun fact, as a space colony boy, Dale has never come in contact with either an ocean or a horse (or a centaur), though he does know what they are.

Just for kicks, I uploaded a "How Wyrd Painted This" thingie here [link]. In case anyone was interested. I clearly do not know how to paint water, but I tried, and that's the important part!
